The Art Of FeiGiap

    The Art Of FeiGiap

There's something inherently Ghibli-esque about Chong FeiGiap's beautiful paintings, capturing that sense of wonder typically present in the best animes the studio had to offer, as well as a dash of Tekkon Kinkreet's amazingly colorful, complex cities.

The Malaysian artist uses a mix of Sketchup (Architecture+Perspective block outs), Painter and Maya to craft each one of his beautiful pieces, drawing from colorful favela/slum architecture, the result of having to construct your buildings with whatever you could get your hansd on. His pieces have a wonderful sense of personality and scale, building upon a visual language he's built in his own mind for the distinct characters that inhabit them. Check out more of his awesome work after the break!
