Tibetan womans displays Qing Dynasty family dress in Zhailong Village on April 24, 2005 in Danba County of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China. In the ancient Zhailong Village, many families keep traditional dresses inherited from their ancestors from the Qing Dynasty (1644–1911), some of which are hundreds of years old. The dresses are precious because they are made with materials including silk, flax and cotton, embroidered with golden and silver thread, and decorated with gems. Villagers wear the dresses for festival celebrations and ceremonies. Danba County was a station for the Qing Empire army during the conflict between local Tibetans and the Qing Emperor, and has now become a famous tourist destination.
