Festival goers plays in mud during the 15th Annual Boryeong Mud Festival at Daecheon beach in Boryeong, about 190 km (118 miles) southwest of Seoul, July 15, 2012. About 2 to 3 million domestic and international tourists visit the beach during the annual mud festival, according to the festival organisation.

Fully immersed in the mud, visitors enjoy mud wrestling, mud sliding and even swimming in the mud mega tub. The mud, which is believed to have beneficial effects on the skin due to its mineral content, is sourced from mud flats near Boryeong and transported to the beach by truck. Boryeong Mud Festival runs from 14 until 24 July. (Photos by Chung Sung-Jun/Lee Jae-Won/Jeon Heon-Kyun/Ahn Young-joon/Reuters/EPA/Associated Press)
