The Skeleton Krewe

[The Skeleton Krewe was founded in 1999 by Christopher Kirsch. Inspired by the early days of Carnival before tractors and floats replaced walking processions, the Krewe has become one of New Orleans' premier marching clubs. The Krewe began actively marching as a small group of friends, but has grown to 40 active members.

Christopher teaches each new member the art and techniques of paper mache, then everyone is required to design and construct a new head and suit each year and is expected to meet a certain level of quality. The unique style and personality of each member is showcased and adds to the mystic of the group as a whole]. – The Skeleton Krewe
